Corinne Aftimos is an Associate Attorney with the firm. Corinne works in all aspects and areas of the practice, including business and individual bankruptcy cases and matters relating to creditors. She enjoys working with the wide range of industries in her bankruptcy practice, as well as the challenge of securing a collaborative reorganization for clients.

During law school, Corinne decided to focus on bankruptcy practice after rotating through different practice areas as a summer associate at a law firm and discovering that she enjoyed the bankruptcy work more than any other practice area. Before working at Wernick Law, Corinne gained extensive bankruptcy experience serving as a full-time career law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida for almost 10 years. She also has previous experience in bankruptcy litigation in private practice.

Through her in-depth bankruptcy background, Corinne developed strong skills in research, writing, and oral argument. She draws on all those skills in her work with the firm and excels in all aspects of bankruptcy work. Both clients and colleagues appreciate Corinne’s exceptional skills, professionalism, enthusiasm, and dedication.

Corinne is a life-long Miami resident. When she’s not working, her favorite activities include diving, lobstering, and spearfishing. Corinne also is a gardener and does volunteer work with local farmers, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200).
